Our schedule for Holy Week and for Easter services is detailed below:

SUNDAY, APRIL 14: PALM SUNDAY - 8:30 AND 10:45 AM

Our Palm Sunday Services will include the Liturgy of the Palms and dramatic readings, along with our regular times in the Word and the Holy Communion. Zack Clemmons will be preaching on Palm Sunday.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17: STATIONS OF THE CROSS - 6:30 PM

Stations of the Cross is a service of contemplation around the journey of Jesus from his sentencing, to his crucifixion, and to his burial. There are 14 stations representing moments in Christ’s journey, and we are invited to reflect and pray at each. For this year, our regular contemplative icons will be supplemented with art pieces from local artists. These original pieces will add a special contemplative context for our Stations this year.

THURSDAY, APRIL 18: MAUNDY THURSDAY SERVICE AND VIGIL - 6:30 PM

Maundy Thursday is the night we celebrate the Last Supper. For this evening service, we come together for Holy Communion and for our own experience of foot washing, following the example of Jesus in washing the feet of his disciples. Following the service, you are invited to participate in a prayer vigil by signing up for one-hour prayer times through the night, to watch and pray in response to Jesus’ asking of his disciples to watch and pray with him in the garden.

FRIDAY, APRIL 19: GOOD FRIDAY SERVICES - NOON AND 6:30 PM

On Good Friday, we have a noon service where we will reflect on each of the last seven sayings of Christ before his death on the cross. In the evening, we will have a modified Tenebrae service, held in partnership with our friends at Cathedral Rock Church. In the Tenebrae service, we will move through the Gospel narrative of the death of Jesus, extinguishing candles, one at a time, until the altar is dark.

SUNDAY, APRIL 21: EASTER SUNDAY SERVICES - 8:30 AND 10:45 AM

We will have our Easter services at the regular worship times of 8:30 and 10:45 AM; however, there will be little that is “regular” about our celebration. This a day of joyful ringing of bells and sharing in the joy of the Resurrection. We will also have baptisms on Easter Sunday.

SUNDAY, APRIL 28: EASTER FEAST - 9:30 AM SERVICE FOLLOWED BY EASTER POTLUCK BANQUET

On this first Sunday after Easter, we will celebrate as a community and a Church family with our Easter Potluck Banquet. We will have a single worship service this Sunday, and the Easter Feast will follow, beginning around 11:00 AM. The Church will supply ham for all; you are invited to bring a side disk, salad or dessert to share.
