Special Weekly Services in Lent

Wednesday Morning and Evening Prayer

Wednesdays, February 21-March 21 – 7 AM & 6:30 PM

Morning and Evening Prayer, essential to historic Anglicanism, are reflective services incorporating prayer and Scripture reading. Similar to our regular Sunday Morning services, these services feature readings from the Old and New Testaments, including readings from the Psalms and from the Gospels, in addition to prayers for ourselves, our community, and our world.

Evening Prayer each week will be followed by a devoted time of healing prayer (sometimes called Soaking Prayer) and anointing with oil for anyone in need of healing, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual.

Thursday Night Evensong

Thursdays, February 22-March 22 – Soup at 6 PM, Service at 7 PM

Evensong follows a similar structure to Evening Prayer, but includes musical offerings, including a choir and guest musicians each week, and uses singing or chanting for some of the prayers and the Psalm.

The Evensong services will be preceded by a Soup Supper in the Fellowship Hall. Sign up online or in the Fellowship Hall to bring a soup one or more weeks, and if you forget to sign up, bring one anyway!
